Geneva, 14 July 2023:
A delegation of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the proceedings of the 53rd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva during the period 10-14 July 2023. The delegation was led by Dr. Haci Ali Acikgul, Vice-Chairperson, and comprised of Commission Members Dr. Hilal bin Saeed Al Shaizani and Mr. Alhousseine Thiam, and Prof. Dr. Noura Zaid Alrshoud, Executive Director of the OIC-IPHRC Secretariat.

THE OIC-IPHRC delegation successfully concludes participation in the 53rd Session of the Human Rights Council, which included high-level diplomatic and multilateral engagements, delivering statements during Interactive Dialogues, contributing to the Side Events, and attending the Urgent Debate to condemn the desecration of the Nobel Quran.
